Bunkering at the Mega Cruise Pier

This pier has been constructed just 200 meters to the west of the main harbor inlet and extends some 100 meters into the sea. CUROIL installed bunker facilities, enabling bunker deliveries ex-pipe at this pier directly from our main depot at Willemstad.

The main advantage of the pier is that it provides a bunkers only berth outside of the main harbor resulting in lower calling costs and a faster bunker operation, thereby combining the benefits of ex-pipe and off-shore deliveries into one attractive bunker only package.

When compared to other ports, the main advantages of bunkering at this pier are;

Ex pipe availability, thus no ‘hassle’ and/or risks as is the case with barge deliveries
Fresh water available ex-pipe as well, no risk of contamination (high quality desalinated water)
Unlimited quantities available (both for fuel and for water)
Availability of all fuel grades (regular fuel, low vanadium fuel, gas oil and diesel oil)
Opportunity for vessel to take on other items (spares, provisions, etc)
High pumping rates can be attained: swift bunker operation, thereby reducing vessels ‘port time’
